SQL Server – SAN and anti virus

When a virus scan occurs on every server simultaneously on the SAN , does this impact on query times ?

Yes, as they  using cache at the same time.

One thing I’ve done recently is stagger the virus scans on all database servers . This has eradicated some heavy cache use reported

Also , consider adding .mdf , .ldf , .ndf files to exception list
